Resources for Graduate Students
Seminars
Grad Resources conducts a number of popular and informative seminars to meet the practical needs
of graduate students. Workshops on relevant issues like Time Management help students balance the
many demands of graduate life. To find out how to arrange one of these seminars at your campus,
contact us.
Special Events
Grad Resources regularly co-sponsors events with campus graduate student groups to bring
attention and support to graduate student issues. Grad Resources plays an active role in sponsoring
Graduate student orientation programs, TA Appreciation Events, and National Graduate and
Professional Student Appreciation Week. Grad Resources offers printed materials and professional
speakers for events and programs on various campuses across the country. If you would like Grad
Resources to participate in a similar event on your campus, please
contact us.
Grad Resources occasionally partners with other organizations to offer worldview* related events
and forums. An example of such an event is the very popular Veritas Forum (coming soon). These
events do not necessarily represent the philosophical position held by Grad Resources, but they have
been effective for stimulating worldview* dialogue on various campuses.
National Graduate Student Crisis Line
Grad Resources sponsors a national Crisis Line for graduate students in crisis. Call
1-800-GRAD-HLP (800-472-3457) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, toll free and speak with an adult counselor trained
in graduate student issues and crisis intervention.
E-mentors
Grad Resources offers a support system that will connect you
with a seasoned graduate or alumnus for the purposes of
grad mentoring. Find out more on our E-mentors page.
Spiritual Searching
Grad Resources offers practical resources to students with "no strings attached." However, we
also offer spiritual resources as well...but only to those who request them. If
you are at a point in your life where the deeper issues of purpose and identity are important,
Grad Resources has a number of ways you can pursue worldview* and other philosophical issues.
We welcome you to visit our Worldview section.
*Worldview = the cognitive framework in which individuals interpret the world and their existence.
